Why Suraj Sona Masoori Rice?

Suraj Sona Masoori Rice balances richness perfectly. Its light grains absorb the paneer masala gently while staying fluffy and non-sticky, making the dish satisfying without feeling heavy for dinner.

Preparation:

Rinse Suraj Sona Masoori Rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Soak for 15 minutes, then drain and keep aside.

Heat oil or ghee in a deep pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and lightly golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chilli powder, and salt. Cook until the masala turns soft and oil begins to separate.

Add paneer cubes and gently mix so they are coated with the masala. Cook for 2–3 minutes on low flame.

Add soaked rice and water. Mix gently, bring to a boil, then cover and cook on low flame until the rice is soft and water is absorbed.

Switch off the heat, sprinkle garam masala and coriander leaves. Rest for 5 minutes, fluff gently, and serve hot for dinner.
